Mt 5:13-16

Jesus addresses his disciples on the mountain by defining who they are and what they must do. Like salt, they must improve the quality of human life and preserve all that is good. In the darkness of the world, they are to be the light by their witness to God through Jesus.

Shine on and in me Lord when I get lost in the darkness. Shine through me so that others see you.
